Development, production and commercialisation of innovative products and services with high technological value pursuant to art. 25 of Decree-Law 179/2012, in the field of artificial intelligence applied to the agri-food supply chain: artificial intelligence and federated machine learning systems, sensor networks for traceability, computer vision, authentication and protection of agri-food products bearing protected designations (DOP, IGP, AOP, AOC, IGT, STG); design and production of proprietary hardware (multispectral, hyperspectral, chemical and imaging sensors) and edge computing nodes; language and generative models run sovereignly on infrastructure located in the European Union or at the customer's premises; cloud, SaaS and on-premise services for traceability, quality control, regulatory compliance, audit support and authenticity verification; management and economic exploitation of intellectual property rights; industrial research, experimental development and technology transfer; consulting, training and technical-scientific assistance.

d) Short description of the activity carried out, including R&D activity and spend

NextFluent Italia SRL is building an origin verification platform for designated food products in Italy and France (DOP and IGP in Italy, AOP and AOC in France). Instead of relying on the paperwork travelling with a lot, the system observes the product and the conditions it passed through, combining IoT sensing, computer vision and digitally signed evidence dossiers.

The platform is under development. As at the date of publication the company has no active customers. Once released it will be licensed to protection consortia, cooperatives, control and certification bodies and analytical laboratories.

Research and development is the company's main activity and its largest cost item: image analysis models per product category, optimisation of processing on low-power devices, distributed model training across Italy and France, and cryptographic design of the evidence dossier.

For the financial year ending 31 December 2026 the company expects research and development expenditure of €38,000.00.
